What's New for 2022?

Starting this year, every new Renegade will be equipped with a powerful turbocharged engine that makes 177 horsepower. The previously standard 2.4-liter engine has been discontinued. Additionally, both the Sport and Latitude models are upgrading to an 8.4-inch touchscreen rather than a 7-inch one, and the Limited model gets a refreshed look that includes a new grille design.

Jeep Renegade Trim Levels

Four versions of the Renegade are available to those living around Wyoming, MI. First up is the Sport, which is nicely equipped with things like satellite radio, navigation and a six-speaker sound system. A fold-flat front passenger seat comes standard so that you can easily haul longer items, and there is even a removable cargo floor. If you decide you want the Latitude trim level, you'll get roof rails, fog lights, rear USB ports and much more.

The Limited trim level is luxurious, giving drivers leather upholstery and stunning 18-inch wheels. It also has an auto-dimming rearview mirror, heated front seats and automatic wipers. The Trailhawk is meant for the adventurous drivers, and it comes standard with hill descent control, underbody skid plates and a full-size spare tire.

Jeep Renegade Safety Features

No matter which Renegade you choose, your new SUV will have forward collision mitigation, lane departure mitigation and blind-spot monitoring. Trailer sway dampening is also included. The Limited trim level offers a package that adds rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise control and rear automatic braking. This package also offers an automated parking system.

Jeep Renegade Performance Stats

Every new Renegade is powered by a turbo 1.3-liter four-cylinder engine that generates 177 horsepower and 190 pound-feet of torque. Also standard across the board is a nine-speed automatic transmission. For the Sport trim, front-wheel drive is standard and all-wheel drive is available. All other trim levels are equipped with all-wheel drive. Those drivers who stick with a front-wheel-drive model can expect to drive up to 24 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway. Getting a model with all-wheel drive will lower these estimates slightly to 22 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway.

For the Trailhawk, the Renegade adds off-road extras. It has a raised suspension, and it comes with 17-inch wheels and all-terrain tires. This model also has both front and rear tow hooks and is available with a Trailer Tow Group package that includes a four-pin wiring harness and Class III towing hitch.

Staying connected on the go is a priority for a growing number of drivers around Kentwood, MI. An 8.4-inch touchscreen is standard for every new Renegade, and it includes the ability to connect your smartphone with Android Auto™ or Apple CarPlay®. A six-speaker sound system is also standard, along with both navigation and satellite radio. Available on select models is a nine-speaker audio system.
